Ways to Give
Your gift to the Annual Giving Program through the Blue & Gold Family of Funds is 100 percent tax-deductible. You can make a gift to Shady Side Academy in the following ways:
- Give online to the Blue & Gold Fund with Discover, Mastercard or Visa.
- With cash or check - Make your check payable to Shady Side Academy and mail your check to the Annual Giving Office (address below).
- Use your MasterCard, Visa or Discover Card by sending your credit card information to Annual Giving Office, 423 Fox Chapel Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15238, or call or email Rick Munroe, Director of Annual & Corporate Giving, at 412-968-3044 or rmunroe@shadysideacademy.org.
Types of Gifts
Matching Gifts
You can double or even triple your donation with a matching gift from your employer. There are more than 4,000 companies and foundations that match gifts to independent schools. Contact your company for more information and include your matching gift form with your contribution.
Gifts of Stocks or Bonds
These are best made electronically through Fidelity Investments and the DTC number is 226. Fidelity's number is 724-940-7755 x3008. Shady Side Academy's Account number is X77-072508 and Federal Tax ID is 25-096-5561. The fax number is 724-940-7708. If you would like to make a transfer or already have done so, please contact Lisa Fisher '84, Director of Database and Donor Services, to let us know a gift of stock has been made to the Academy. Recurring Gifts or Installments
Complete the Recurring Gifts or Installments Form to make an ongoing gift. Form should be mailed to: Annual Giving Office, 423 Fox Chapel Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15238. Contact Lisa Fisher with questions at 412-968-3012 or lfisher@shadysideacademy.org.
Honorary or Memorial Gifts through the Blue & Gold Fund
You may make a gift in honor of a loved one, a graduating senior, a grandchild or a favorite teacher. You might also want to remember a loved one with a memorial gift. Let us know the name of the person you wish to honor or remember when you make your gift. We will send you a receipt for the gift, and we will notify the honoree or the family of the loved one of your kindness.
