Day Camps - Specialty Camps - Summer School

Shady Side Academy's Summer Programs give you the option of planning a remarkable summer for your children. We all know that summer schedules can become packed pretty quickly with vacation, family fun and trips to the pool. Plus, with the vast array of programming that is offered in the Pittsburgh area, it can become a burdensome task to plan a great summer.

New for Summer 2010!

Shady Side Academy's summer programs are incredibly flexible, providing an endless array of possibilities for all kids. Some of our newest options for 2010 include:

Day Camp Discovery!

New specialties at Day Camp Discovery! We have added Tennis and Outdoor Adventure as daily specials, just like Media Arts, Swimming, and Arts and Crafts. Who needs expensive tennis lessons when you can enjoy them as part of the Day Camp Discovery experience!

Camp Ren

After the huge success of Camp Ren for Middle School students in 2009, we will be offering the program for six weeks in 2010. Furthermore, we will introduce a Counselor in Training leadership program for students entering ninth grade. With new activities like Glass, Cooking, Squash, and Geocaching, this will remain what parents have called, "the most innovative and exciting new program in the region."

Sports & Specialty Camps

Couldn't fit last year's Allegheny Passage Bike Trip to Washington D.C. into your schedule? Was it sold out by the time you got around to signing up? Due to popular demand, we will now be running two different trips in 2010. This bike trip is just one of the many Sports & Specialty Camps offered by SSA. Other camps include two weeks of Trilogy Lacrosse, Camp Jam, Pittsburgh Trio's Advanced Music Seminar, Adidas Tennis Camp and Drill 4 Skill!

Summer School

Bulk up that college application! Our Summer School will offer three week-long sections of College Essay Workshops, giving your children the chance to work one-on-one with an expert!
