Bradley Fields’ internationally acclaimed performance, Out of Thin Air!, transcends clichés of waxy black top hats with an innovative blend of medieval theatrics, clever comedy and mind-boggling magic. An expert at timing and slight-of-hand, Fields has been placed “among the top magicians in the entertainment world” by Tennessee State University.
Drawing from the days of jesters and traveling bards, Fields transports the awe-struck audience to an enchanting world that stretches from Coney Island’s Dreamland to the mystical Himalayas. Poetically performed, Out of Thin Air! warps reality with whimsy and delight, prompting This Week in Las Vegas to praise Fields as “exceptionally funny! A virtuoso magician and illusionist.” The Utica Daily Press noted how Fields “is a master of the craft,” citing his mesmerizing ability to cross-pollinate elements of ballet and mime into his performance. Not only does he lock a girl in a trunk only to switch places with her, but he does so with artistry and poise.
Out of Thin Air! has played to sold-out houses and standing ovations across the globe, including London’s West End. Fields was also the first American magician to be presented in Beijing, China. The Harrogate Herald hailed Fields for having “the entire audience spellbound” during a performance at the Harrogate Theater in England.
Join us from 6:30-7:30 p.m. for hands-on magic! Make-Your-Own-Magic with the Carnegie Science Center (included in the ticket cost) will have some amazing crafts. Activities include UV detecting beads, liquid nitrogen ice cream and flip books!
