Shady Side Academy’s Summer Discovery Programs welcome students from
any school to have a fun, enriching experience with us! Summer
2008 included...
The 72nd year of Day Camp Discovery provided 5-12 year
old children a fun, balanced program of swimming, tennis, soccer, basketball,
arts & crafts, nature study, woodworking, and games. Campers chose a major
and minor area of focus each week. 2008
Weekly Day Camp Majors!
The 86th year of Summer School Discovery offered academic
courses for students, grades K-12. Students may elect to take a course for
credit, enrichment, or review. Students may cross-register with Day Camp
Discovery.
The 6th year of Arts Discovery brought together aspiring
artists with professionals in programs designed to nurture developing talent
in the Hillman Center for Performing Arts and Benedum Visual Arts Center.
The 37th year of Sports Discovery allowed students to
try a new sport or develop skills under the guidance of outstanding coaches.
Day and overnight programs were available for athletes K-12.
Check back in December for new and innovative programs offered in Summer
Discovery 2009.
