and ideas
- Understand the visual arts in relation to history and cultures
- Develop
an art vocabulary to analyze and discuss works of art
Senior School
- Introduce the students to an array of art media, history, skills and
design
- Encourage self-expression and problem-solving through learning processes
- Provide
non-competitive exhibition and discussion opportunities for students
to share their artwork
- Learn to use the art studios and equipment/tools
at all levels with responsibility, safety and respect for others
- Encourage
the pursuit of artistic connections to the community via visiting artists,
workshops, field trips and community projects
