


SESSION ONE CLASSES September 8 - October 16, 2008
Extended Robotics Discovery
(Tuesday) - CLASS IS FULL - CLOSED
Lego Robotics will meet for an additional half hour each week ( 3:30-5:00
). This extension will provide the students more time to program their robots
for use on our new official 1st Lego League (FLL) competition table. The challenges
this session will be taken directly from past FLL national competitions. The
combination of an official competition table, official challenges, and additional
time will make this the best Lego Robotics session yet! Open to all third,
fourth and fifth graders of any experience level. (Grades 3-5) Class
Size: limit 16
Tennis Discovery (Wednesday)
USPTR Tennis Teaching Professional and AFAA Personal Trainer Mark
Haffner will teach tennis with an emphasis on agility and fun for all. This
will be a great introduction to this wonderful sport. (Two sections: Grades

Art Discovery (Thursday)
Can't get enough of art? Let your imagination soar after school:
Drawing, painting, clay, sculpture, sewing, bead work and MORE! Cydra Vaux
is excited to explore students' artistic abilities and their creative talents.
(Grades 4-5) Class Size: limit 12
Chess Discovery (Thursday)
For beginners and intermediate players, this class will teach the
basics of the game, including board set up, movement of pieces, and strategies
to win! John Young, instructor at a number of local schools, chess expert,
and grandfather leads the class. (Grades 1-5) Class Size: limit 16
