Text: Architecture: Drafting and Design Classroom Rules: Prompt and orderly. Proper use of equipment Attendance and Make-Up Policies –Students are responsible for material missed in class. Extra Help Policies and Procedures – Student can arrange for help as needed. Classroom scheduled for student to have extra time on computers to complete CAD projects. Homework: Reading is applied to projects. Grading: All written work is grade A-F. Content, analysis, craftsmanship, creativity and demonstration of understanding of material.

1. Keep a journal/notebook to make sketches, record ideas, react to reading, research architectural styles and just think on paper. 2. Measure a room - draw plans and make a model of it. 3. Design a Residence - A. Make a set of floor plans and elevations B. Construct a 3D model using foam core, balsawood and other materials. 4.Summation of Residential Project - one page typed essay that describes the Residential Project. |
Announcements Critiques will take place at midterm, in-process and at the end of the term. |
