Overview This is a survey course of American History from 1754-1973. We will attempt to balance the presentation of facts with critical thinking and analysis. A continuing objective of this, the third required course in the SSA Senior School History Department, is to refine the analytic writing process using US History as the content. |

Assignments 9/7/06 - Read pages 114-120 in the text. Start a t Square to gather evidence to answer this question: Was the American Revolution more economically or politically motivated? 9/11 - Read pages 139-149 in text. Begin completing the Chart handed out in class. Also, bring your Enduring Voices, Vol. document book to class on Thursday. 9/13 - Read 149-155 in text. Continue the chart. 9/14 - Prepare for an open-note in-class reaction to the question, "Was the American Revolution more economically or politically motivated?" |
