Overview

Like so many who have come before, let us go “once more unto the breach” and engage with one of the most compelling dramatic series of all time. Shakespeare's Henriad begins with Richard II , continues in Henry IV parts I and II, and culminates in the triumphant Henry V . We'll bring the plays off the page through dramatic readings and scene presentations. Course requirements will include essay writing and the staging of a scene in place. “The game's afoot. / Follow your spirit, and upon this charge / Cry, “God for Harry , England , and St. George!””
