PRESIDENTIAL GRANTS
DESCRIPTION: These grants
are made in order to allow faculty to take advantage of unique professional
development opportunities for which funding could not be provided from other
staff support programs. In the past the president has provided funding for
overseas study, supported attendance at out-of-state conferences, brought
in outside speakers and consultants to deal with specific faculty concerns,
etc. These funds are provided at the discretion of the president. Funding
is limited so not all applicants can be funded. Funding is considered on a
case-by-case basis.
ELIGIBILITY: Any teacher or administrator is eligible to request a Presidential Grant, regardless of years of service. Before applying, however, applicants should be certain that they are not eligible for funding from other Academy staff development programs.
CONDITIONS: Unlimited, at the discretion of the President.
APPLICATION: In order to insure confidentiality, all requests are made directly to the President.
