On Tuesday, May 16, in the first round of the WPIAL Class AAA championships, the Shady Side Academy boys lacrosse team defeated Shaler, 13-3. On Thursday, May 18, at 6 p.m., SSA will face Seneca Valley in the quarterfinals at Pine Richland. The boys team is coached by Dan Usaj. Good luck on Thursday!

For the first time since 2005, the girls softball team competed in the WPIAL Class AA Championship. On Tuesday, May 16, in the first round, the team fell to Mohawk, 16-1. The team is coached by Mashea Johnson. Congrats, ladies, on a fantastic season!
