WPIAL Playoff Update: Boys Soccer and Girls Tennis
Boys Soccer
On Saturday, Oct. 21, the Shady Side Academy boys soccer team defeated South Park, 5-2, in the first round of the WPIAL Class AA Championship. Juniors Wally Navid and Max Farner each scored twice and Kenny Shergill also scored.
The boys' team will play Waynesburg in the WPIAL quarterfinals on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. at Canon McMillan. Good luck!
Girls Tennis
On Thursday, Oct. 19, juniors Aya Youssef and Isha Reddy competed in the first and second rounds of the WPIAL Class AAA Girls Doubles Tennis Championship. In the first round, Youssef and Reddy defeated Addison Kemerer and Maddie Stas of Latrobe. In the second round, they fell to Golda Gershanok and Katherine Izzo of Mt. Lebanon. Congratulations to the team on a great season!
