The Hillman Performing Arts Series at Shady Side Academy kicks off its 12th season with award-winning illusionist in The Jason Bishop Show. The show takes place Saturday, Oct. 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the Hillman Center for Performing Arts, located on the Shady Side Academy Senior School campus, 423 Fox Chapel Road, Fox Chapel. Other shows in the 2017-2018 Hillman Performing Arts Series include: SOLE Defined (Nov. 18, 2017), a percussive dance troupe; Six Appeal (Feb. 17, 2018), an award-winning a cappella group; and PUSH Physical Theatre (March 11, 2018), a movement-based acrobatic theatre troupe. Three- and four-show series subscriptions are available for $42-$100, while individual show tickets are $16-30. In addition, on April 14, 2018, the Hillman Center will host the special event A Tribute to Ella Fitzgerald, featuring vocalist Delores King Williams and the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra; tickets are $50.
