In conjunction with the First Grade field trip to Kaelin Farms, each First
Grade student got a pumpkin and information was given to them about both pumpkins
and apples. The students brought back apples which were then used to
make apple cider.
Junior School teachers Mrs. Holt (Art) and Mrs. Janosko (Science) demonstrated
the apple press with each of the students participating in the actual making
of it by throwing apples into the bin and turning the wheel. The best part
was drinking it!
